IASI clouds, T, H2O data access


Please note :
- IASI Level 2 data are available for clouds, temperature and humidity since 1 january 2009 (2007 and 2008 : on going). The data format is in BUFR (cf. link IASI software tools). Data are concatened per day, per parameter in one tar file.
From 30/09/2014, new version (version 6) for lASI level 2 data.

Structure of the file names :

1- Before 9 february 2012
Each file contains data for one day of observation. File names include date of observation. Their structure is:         
iasi_YYYYMMDD_HHmmss_metopa_ZZZZZ_eps_o_AAA.l2_bufr
    where:
  • - YYYY = year
  • - MM = month
  • - DD = day
  • - HH = hour
  • - mm = minute
  • - ss = seconde
  • - ZZZZZ = orbit number
  • - AAA = "clp" for clouds or "twt" for temperature and humidity
  • - l2 = data level
  • - bufr = data format
Example : iasi_20120207_235957_metopa_27523_eps_o_twt.l2_bufr

2- From 9 february 2012

   W_XX-EUMETSAT-Darmstadt,SOUNDING+SATELLITE,METOPA+IASI_C_EUMP_YYYYMMDDhhmmss_ZZZZZ_eps_o_AAA_l2.bin

    where:

  • - DD = day
  • - HH = hour
  • - mm = minute
  • - ss = seconde
  • - ZZZZZ = orbit number
  • - AAA = "clp" for clouds and "twt" for temperature and humidity
  • - l2 = data level
